Do you like oat bars?

I am usually in rush in the morning. Most of the times I don't have enough time to sit and have a relaxed breakfast so I take a banana or a cup of green tea on the go. It was a while ago I saw a recipie of an oat bar and it was in my wish list of baking. Yesterday I was reading a useful weblog and again saw another similar recipie, as there wasn't any butter in the ingredients I became so motivated to make it right a way.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup silver almonds
1/2 cup warmed honey
3/4 cup medjool dates (the recipe called for this particular dates for keeping the moisture, but I used another kind and it was OK)
1tsp cinnamon
2 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
I believe you can use any kind of dried fruits
1 table spoon of ground flax seed

Put the honey in microwave and heat it till its texture becomes as a syrup.
Then mix all the ingredients together and pack the mixture on a parchment paper and bake it for 8 to 10 minutes in a 325 F preheated oven. Bring it out of the oven and freeze it for about 20 minutes to making it firm and being able to cut it into bars. It gives almost 12 bars. You can eat them in one week or freeze them up to 1 month since they don't have any preservatives.

Enjoy it as a breakfast or snack.
This bar has very nutrients in it as oats are believed to lower the cholesterol. Honey and raisins can reduce the inflammation. Flax seed and almonds brings you the omega 3 which is needed for brain to be healthy.
As they are very easy to make and super healthy I think it's worth a try.
